Alvaro González es Ingeniero Civil, MSc, y PhD especializado en infraestructura vial, con más de 20 años de experiencia académica y profesional en Chile y el extranjero. Su foco es la investigación y desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías para aumentar la productividad de la industria vial. Su objetivo de investigación es promover el uso racional de materiales de construcción, o técnicas que lleven a un sistema de infraestructura más sustentable. En particular, su foco reciente es el uso de materiales auto-reparables para construcción de caminos, reciclado de materiales y estabilización de suelos.

Civil Engineer, MSc, PhD, specialized in road engineering and materials with more than 20 years of professional and academic experience in Chile and overseas. His focus is the research and development of new technologies to increase the local road industry productivity. Alvaro’s research objective is to promote the rational use of materials or construction techniques that lead to a more sustainable infrastructure system. In particular, Alvaro investigates the use of self-healing and sustainable materials for road construction, and soil stabilization techniques for the productive sector.
