Profile

Manuel Carpio Martínez es originario de Granada, España. Tras la obtención del título universitario, su carrera profesional se inició con el ejercicio libre de la profesión, así como la prestación de servicios en diversas administraciones públicas.
Durante este periodo amplió sus estudios de Arquitectura Técnica de la Universidad de Granada, realizando el Grado en Ingeniería de Edificación en la Universidad de Sevilla, así como dos Masters, uno en Seguridad Integral en la Edificación y otro en Gestión en la Edificación, ambos en la Universidad de Granada.
Su última fase de formación, correspondiente a la realización del Doctorado en el Programa Oficial de Ingeniería Civil y Arquitectura, le ha permitido especializarse en procesos constructivos y en eficiencia energética en la edificación, aportándole conocimientos fundamentales para el desarrollo de la docencia y la participación en proyectos de investigación afínes.
Así mismo, ha desarrollado actividades relacionadas con el ámbito profesional materializadas en contratos con diferentes empresas, todos ellos relacionados con la docencia e investigación en el área de construcciones arquitectónicas.
Como resultado de su investigación, ha presentado diversos trabajos a diferentes congresos internacionales y a diversas revistas internacionales indexadas en WOS, así como capítulos de libros en editoriales de prestigio.
En relación a la labor docente universitaria, ha impartido docencia en la Escuela Politécnica Superior de la Universidad de Sevilla y en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Ingeniería de la Universidad Austral de Chile, así como diversos seminarios en la ETS de Ingeniería de Edificación, cursos de especialización en la ETS de Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos de la Universidad de Granada. Actualmente, forma parte como académico e investigador del Departamento de Ingeniería y Gestión de la Construcción de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
